I must be living under a rock because up until recently I’ve only made a few Chex Party Mix Recipes. If you’ve never made a Chex Party Mix recipe, you don’t know what you are missing. I was recently contacted by a representative for Chex Party Mix that told me all about their newest recipes. With the kit provided, my family and I had the opportunity to give them a taste test.
When making all 3 recipes at once, they do require quite a bit of Chex Cereal, as you can see in the photo above. But ideally most people will only make one or two recipes at a time, depending on what they are making them for whether it just be as a family snack or for a party. I had no idea that Chex had such a variety of different flavors of their cereal. I definitely found a few that I will be adding to my “cereal rotation” as they are great alone with milk. But today we are talking about the 3 Chex Party Mix recipes that are perfect for holiday gatherings or even to give as gifts.
The three Chex Party Mix recipes that I tried out were the Sugar Cookie Chex Party Mix, Mexican hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix, and Chex Pumpkin Pie Crunch. What I loved about each of these recipes is that they are SO easy to make. The only heating that is required is through the use of a microwave. The time it takes to whip up a Chex Party Mix recipe is very little, about 15 minutes.
I found out quickly that the hardest part about making Chex Party Mix is waiting for the recipe to cool so you can dig in. They are just so munch-able! My household of boys helped me conduct our taste test. Unanimously the top favorite of the three recipes we tried out was the Sugar Cookie Chex Party Mix. That batch of Chex Mix definitely did not last long at all. My husband, who loves white chocolate, couldn’t stop raving about the Sugar Cookie Chex Party Mix. The second favorite amongst my family was the Chex Pumpkin Pie Crunch, even some of the non-pumpkin pie fans liked it. The Chex Pumpkin Pie Crunch was definitely the crunchiest of the 3. The Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix came in third, but don’t be thrown off by the coconut that is in it as it doesn’t have a coconut taste but a cinnamony, chocolate flavor instead. While making the Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix I thought it was ironic that my husband said to me “I smell Hot Chocolate!”.
Any of these 3 Chex Party Mix recipes would make GREAT gifts this holiday season. Give a variety box with individual servings of each flavor tucked away in a cupcake liner or give a big batch in a large mason jar. Add a little ribbon with a gift tag and you’ve got an easy, delicious, homemade holiday gift. Gifts made with love are always the best gifts, in my opinion.
Looking for another delectable Chex Party Mix to try? The Chex Muddy Buddies are sure to be a hit. They remind me of my favorite candy they are that good! I can already tell that Chex Party Mix is definitely going to be my families go-to snack this holiday. We are in love with the stuff and simply can’t get enough. I can see many more batches being made in the very near future.
